Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies!

This is the best invention ever. Stuffing things into other things never looked so good. I remember when I was learning to cook I found a recipe for stuffing a pork with a turkey and the turkey was stuffed with a chicken and the chicken was stuffed with stuffing!

It was like a Christmas recipe or something. Anyway, in the last few years this tradition has apparently transfered to desserts! As a result we have this: a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with an oreo cookie! Who would have thought?!

Recipe:

  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 3/4 packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar 
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 10-ounce bag of chocolate chips
  • 1 bag of Oreos, or about 24 Oreos (Jenny used Double Stuff in the original recipe, I used regular Oreos)
